Who writes the analysis

I'm Ethan Hunt, an independent trader, and I write every signal, outlook and analysis post on this site myself. My focus is gold (XAUUSD), with occasional setups on forex pairs, crypto and stocks.

I'm not a licensed financial adviser and hold no financial authorisation. Instead of credentials, I offer a public track record: every signal is time-stamped when it's published and stays on the site whether it wins or loses, so you can judge the work by its results.

How signals are made and tracked

• Manual analysis. Signals come from my own discretionary technical analysis: market structure, key levels, liquidity, trading sessions and the economic calendar. They are not generated by an algorithm or an AI model.
• Locked at publish. The pair, direction, order type and publish time can't be changed afterwards, signals can't be deleted, and a result can only be set once.
• Visible changes. Until a pending order is triggered I can adjust its entry, stop loss and take profit. Once a trade is live, the entry is locked and only the stop loss and take profit can move. Every change is time-stamped and shown on the signal, and the result is always measured against the stop loss in place when the trade was triggered.
• Automated tracking. Where a live price feed is available, the site records automatically when a signal is triggered and when it reaches its stop loss or take profit. Other signals are closed by hand at the market price, and the time is recorded.

Conflicts of interest

• Own positions. I may hold positions in the instruments I analyse, including in the direction of a published signal. Every signal and post carries a short note saying so.
• Affiliate links. I have affiliate agreements with Exness, Vantage, Binance and Bitget. If you open an account through my links, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Depending on the programme, this can be a one-off payment or a share of what the broker earns from your trading, which means I can benefit when referred clients trade more. Brokers have no say in my analysis.
• Other income. None. The site and its social channels have no ads, paid subscriptions or sponsored content, and I don't take payment to cover any instrument.

Regulatory status

Neither Ethan Hunt nor The Gold Agent is authorised or regulated by Finanstilsynet (the Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway) or by any other financial regulator. I don't provide investment services: no personal investment advice, no portfolio management, no order handling, and I never hold anyone's money. Everything here is general, educational content.
